【简介】 The Center for Materials Research and Technology (MARTECH) was established by the Florida legislature in 1986 as an interdisciplinary center to promote education and research at the frontiers of materials science at the Florida State University. The Center's purpose is to provide a means for the State of Florida to achieve national prominence in materials science and technology and to thus assume a leadership role in developing the foundation for the nation's and the State of Florida's technology of the future. These goals are met through the support of materials research and via the training of personnel in these areas. The continuing mission of MARTECH is to provide the means and the setting for both fundamental and applied studies into novel structures and compositions of matter.
