【简介】 The Center for Bio-Inspired Nanomaterials (CBIN) at Montana State University is a multidisciplinary research and education center that will focus on research aimed at understanding and utilizing nanoscale architectures from protein cages. Self-assembled cage structures can encapsulate guest materials of complementary size, shape, and chemical properties through specific intermolecular interactions, with important applications in materials synthesis, sensing, medicine, and catalysis. The enormous potential for this approach lies in the vast array of architectures in which protein cages can be directed to form.
