The Department of Chemistry of Washington University in St. Louis consists of 25 full-time faculty, 119 graduate students, 32 postdocs, 8 adjunct and research faculty, 6 educational staff, and 34 administrative and research support staff.
The faculty of the Department obtain research grant and contract direct costs of approximately $5.4 million annually, supplementing a University operating budget of approximately $3.2 million.
Shared departmental facilities include a high-resolution NMR facility, a Mass Spectrometry facility, Computing resources, glass, mechanical and electrical shop services, and numerous other instrumentation.
