Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology (Bryers, Coughlin, Wood) Biotechnology has quickly gained momentum as one of the most dynamic, exciting fields of research, and the Chemical Engineering Department is proud to offer students substantial resources and research opportunities in this important area. Computer Applications (Achenie, Anderson, Cutlip, Cooper, S. Fenton) The Chemical Engineering Department offers an outstanding program in the area of computer applications, including advanced process control, modeling and optimization, and computer aided molecular design. Environmental Research and Pollution Prevention (Erkey, J. Fenton, Helble) The Chemical Engineering Department offers an integrated curriculum of coursework and research for students in environmental research, pollution prevention, fuel cell technology and green manufacturing.
