【简介】 The Department of Chemistry at Georgia State University is committed to excellence in both research and academics. The Department offers the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. It is made up of 19 full-time Faculty and four full-time Visitying Faculty members with a variety of research interests including drug synthesis, DNA modeling studies, and nuclear magnetic resonance investigations. External funding is received from NSF, NIH, the American Heart Association, the American Chemical Society (Petroleum Research Fund), and the Department of Energy as well as several private companies including Kodak, LI-COR, and Solvay Pharmaceuticals. Currently more than 130 undergraduate students and roughly 70 graduate students are enrolled. Major research facilities include a picosecond laser laboratory and a state-of-the-art high-field NMR facility.
