内容简介:
【简介】 Ph.D. research in chemical engineering at Stanford is conducted by Ph.D. students within research groups under the direction of a faculty advisor. Groups have 4 to 12 students, which allows for extensive interactions between graduate students and faculty. In fact, it is the one-on-one teaching between faculty and students within research groups which comprises the majority of the Ph.D. education at Stanford. Each faculty members group focuses on cutting edge research within a core area of chemical engineering with an emphasis on the fundamentals of chemical engineering science. The following list is representative of the breadth and diversity of the research carried out within the department. At the same time, many of these research topics are conducted by several faculty, often through collaborations between faculty in the department, with other faculty at Stanford, or with scientists in industry or national laboratories.
