【简介】 The Department of Chemical Engineering of Kyoto University was founded on April 1, 1940, as one of the first chemical engineering departments in Japan. It consisted of only two KOZAs (chairs) when it started, but it has been growing to have presently eight KOZAs. KOZA is a small subdivision of the department and specializes in a particular research area. More than 1500 alumni are presently playing active parts in various industries including chemical industries, and the department has been renowned as one of the best and largest chemical engineering departments in Japan.
