【简介】 Department of Chemistry was founded as a part of Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in 1964. Chemistry and Chemical Engineering programmes were begun at the same time. Then the department was exceeded to Faculty of science and engineering in 1967 when Hacettepe University was founded as an autonomous university. Faculty of Science and Engineering was divided into three parts which were Science, Engineering and Chemistry in 1971, then Chemical Engineering Department was founded as a part of Faculty of Chemistry at the same year. Faculty of Chemistry and Faculty of Engineering were joined together in 1983 then Department of Chemistry was exceeded to Faculty of Engineering. In 1992, the department was exceeded to Faculty of Science.
