Ankara University Faculty of Pharmacy Turkey抯 second pharmaceutical institution but the first Faculty of Pharmacy was established in 1960 and the education started with eighty-one students during the academic year 1961-1962.
At present the two blocks of building sitting on a land-mass of 23,000 square meters is comprised three anfitheatres each holding 154 students, Physics, Pharmaceutical Botany, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Toxicology, Food Analyses, Foreign Language, Computer Training Laboratories and the Laboratories of the major departments of pharmaceutical analyses and syntheses, six classrooms for 215 persons, herbaryum, the dean抯 and administration offices, glaziery workshop, carpentry, photocopy unit, two conference halls, a two flat library, a cafetaria and a canteen with serving capacity for 700 people. In addition, the highly developed Central Researches Laboratory serves both students and academicians for practical work and research studies.
At present, 591 undergraduate. 84 post graduate and 64 PhD students are being trained at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
