【简介】 The Department of Chemical Engineering maintains a strong research tradition and ethos. The Department has consistently achieved high ratings in the UKs Research Assessment Exercises denoting research of international standing. The most recent assessment was 5*, the top rating possible.
Research is focused on four areas: Multiphase systems, Computer Aided Process Engineering, Catalytic and Chemical Reaction Engineering, and the Centre for CO2 Technology which draws from the fundamental research in the other three areas. Each area supports a range of projects undertaken by researchers at postgraduate and postdoctoral level. The research feeds into the undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes ensuring that our courses involve leading edge fields and that students leave with a taste of leading edge research.
