【组织简介】 Slovenian Chemical Society (Slovensko Kemijsko Drustvo) was established in 1951. It unites professionals in the field of chemistry, chemical technology and chemical engineering with the purpose to: enhance the progress in all spheres of chemistry, chemical technology and chemical enineering through exchange of experience and popularization of the achviements in the area;
cares for the professional knowledge of its members;
unite them into organized activities;
establish connections with other organizations active in the field of chemistry.
Today Slovenian Chemical Society has 1300 members. Membership in the Society is open to any professional in the field of chemistry, chemical technology and chemical engineering or similar sciences as well as to students. The rights of the members are to vote and to be elected to all Society agences, to make proposals for Society's activities programme, to take part in accepting resolutions at the Society's assembly and to take part in the work of commissions. The duties od the members are to carry out tasks prescribed by the statut, to fulfill the resolutions accepted by the Society agences, to respect the Code of Professional Ethics and to pay the membership fee.
The title of honorary member can be given as a special award to a member or organization which has contributed to the fulfillment of the tasks of the Society and the title of deserving member to the person or organization which has financially supported the society.
Slovenian Chemical Society is a full member of the International union of pure and Applied Chemistry - IUPAC, of the federation of European Chemical Societies - FECS, of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering - EFCE and others.
