内容简介:
【内容简介】 The scope of the journal includes research incorporating the element silicon in the following subject areas: synthetic chemistry (organic, inorganic and organometallic), macromolecular chemistry and engineering, biochemistry, surface science, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, theoretical chemistry, sol-gel science, interfacial modification, adhesion, coatings science and engineering, materials science and engineering. The journal is committed to maintaining a high level of quality in accepted papers and review articles. The journal will publish original research on all aspects of science and engineering, where silicon plays a significant part. Manuscripts that offer innovative concepts, either experimental techniques or observations, related to silicon products (especially silanes, siloxanes or silicones) are of primary interest. The editors welcome articles, communications and occasional reviews, but only where these have not or will not be published elsewhere, including the World Wide Web. Articles should be complete reports of significant results or conclusions, which focus on some aspect of silicon being present. Communications are preliminary reports (1500-2000 words) of unusually urgent significance and of wider interest. Reviews are critically evaluated surveys of progress in limited areas of silicon science or engineering during the previous 5-10 years, and should contain new information on the subject. The distinguished international editorial board and strict refereeing procedures will ensure that the journal will maintain high scientific standards and a broad international coverage.
