【组织简介】 Euroscience was founded in 1997 in order to:
Provide an open forum for debate on science and technology, Strengthen the links between science and society, Contribute to the creation of an integrated space for science and technology in Europe Influence science and technology policies
Euroscience is a pan-european association of individuals interested in constructing scientific Europe "from the bottom-up ". It represents European scientists of all disciplines (including social sciences and the humanities), in the public sector, universities, research institutes as well as business and industry. This grass-roots organisation is open to research professionals, science administrators, policy-makers, teachers, PhD students, post-docs, engineers, industrialists, and generally to any citizen interested in science and technology and its links with society.
Euroscience has presently 1 500 members in 40 European countries. It operates through its Workgroups and Regional Sections, setting up conferences, workshops and other appropriate actions (awards...) on subjects such as The Future of Young Scientists, the Integration and Collaboration in European Science, the Accountability of Scientists to society., Ethics in Science, the public Awareness of Science..
Also, it works to extend its influence on European authorities and assemblies, national governments, and provides expertise on request. Its aim is to reinforce scientific collaboration, from the inside and across ALL European Borders.
