【组织简介】 The International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) is a global professional network in the field of waste management.
To promote Sustainable Waste Management World-Wide
protect human health, natural resources and the environment provide information promote research and development, education and training influence policies by providing advice serve the membership
The ISWA Development Programme (IDP) was created to fund educational and training programmes in the field of waste management as well as sustain a transfer of know how to developing countries and economies in transition.
The IDP was founded on the initiative of the International Solid Waste Association. The IDP is endorsed by the United Nations Environmental Programme as a Type 2 Programme for the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, S.A. ISWA does not pursue any commercial interest with the IDP.
IDP projects include:
organise and/or support waste management training courses, seminars and workshops in developing countries provide training and educational material and publications send ISWA experts and lecturers for training activities support capacity building on a regional and local level establish local organisational structures and professional networks cover the travel costs for delegates from developing countries to ISWA Working Group meetings, training courses and conferences
