International agricultural and human health companies combatting disease and malnutrition worldwide Established small and medium sized companies Entrepreneurial leaders of startups and spinouts Scientists and technology transfer specialists from top-tier academic and research institutions Venture capitalists, investment bankers, and angel investors Seasoned government people committed to economic development of the region Service providers from major law, accounting, financial and search firms Business professionals from a wide variety of professions and callings who want to make something special happen here in Illinois and the Midwest iBIO’s mission is to secure for the Midwest Region recognition as one of the world’s great life sciences centers: a great place to do business, and a great place to start businesses involving advanced technologies.
Their primary objectives are to make sure Illinois, as a community and as a political entity, is a great partner to life sciences companies, large and small promote the creation of new life sciences companies which generate jobs, wealth, and excitement in Illinois and the Midwest.
