FRANCE BIOTECH 法国生物技术协会之一
【简介】
FRANCE BIOTECH is an association formed to stimulate and encourage the development of the French biotechnology industry.
Biotechnology-based industry represents an excellent opportunity for France. France already has world-class research in the life-sciences and can boast of several best-in-class companies in this sector. Biotechnology will bring about unprecedented changes in the technological and industrial life of the 21st century. Its impact will almost certainly be greater than that of the information technology revolution.
France Biotechs role is to prepare the way for the life sciences revolution and to create a favourable environment for the development of a strong biotechnology industry in France.
In its first year of existence, FRANCE BIOTECH has set itself four major tasks:
Formulate and put forward proposals to government and regulatory bodies to bring about rapid economic and regulatory changes which will benefit biotechnology companies
Be an example to encourage entrepreneurship and the creation of biotechnology companies by scientists and managers from companies and laboratories in the public and private sectors
Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas among biotechnology entrepreneurs
Be an international point of contact for the exchange of ideas and experience with the international biotechnology community, including industry associations and companies in other countries
Activities relating to these tasks include:
Discussions with biotechnology companies, the government and other public sector bodies to propose specific measures
Active promotion of enterprise-creation through seminars and meetings in public and private laboratories
Regular meetings to bring together entrepreneurs, allowing them to share their own experience and benefit from that of others
Representing the French biotechnology industry in international fora, including Germany, Japan, UK and US
