天津: 天津市化学试剂研究所
【简介】
天津市化学试剂研究所建于1964年,是研究开发特种化学试剂和精细化学品的开发型研究所。
天津是全国七大化学试剂基地之一,本所是天津化学试剂基地的开发中心、信息中心、检测中心。近年来有九个项目获国家级科研成果,多次获得部、市级科技成果奖、科技进步奖。改革开放以来,逐步走向市场,已成为科、工、贸一体化的经济实体。每年向市场提供250余种产品,科工贸收入超过1000万元/年。
本所现有职工118人,其中58人具有中级以上职称,有三名享受政府特贴专家。98年国家外经贸委授予我所进出口权。

【简介】
The Chemistry Departments research programs span both pure and applied chemistry, with many important potential technological applications in the fields of material science, electrochemistry, sonochemistry, polymer nanoparticles, synthetic organic and organometallic chemistry, pharmaceuticals, bio-organic, inorganic and theoretical chemistry.
A strong research effort in the field of material science has developed in recent years. Four groups are involved in the fields of electrochemistry, sonochemistry, polymers and self-assembled monomolecular films, working both on individual and joint research projects. Research projects include the development of lithium batteries, the production of amorphous metallic nanoparticles by sonochemistry, microdevice fabrication using ultrathin films of organic materials on surfaces, and the study of polymer nanoparticles.
On the theoretical front, the Department has the facilities for performing theoretical calculations using a wide variety of commercially available computer software packages. These are used by theoreticians and experimentalists in the fields of organic, physical organic and bio-organic chemistry and are an indispensable tool in modern chemical research. Other theoretical studies are in the fields of nonlinear optics, studying the interaction between lasers and material systems, and fundamental studies on the relationship between quantum and classical mechanics which will allow intractable problems in quantum mechanics to be solved.
In addition, the Department has several groups in the field of Organic Chemistry with applications to biology, medicine and the Israeli chemical industry, as well as in the fields of gas kinetics and the kinetics and spectroscopy of organometallic reactions.

天津化工研究设计院(原化学工业部天津化工研究院)创建于1958年,系原化工部直属重点院所之一,现转制为中央直属大型企业中国化工建设总公司直接领导,集无机化工、工业水处理药剂及应用技术、催化剂及载体、环境评价及环保工程、精细化工等领域的科研、生产经营、工程设计、工程总承包、技术服务、技术咨询为一体的国有科技先导型企业。
我院现有在职职工近700名,工程技术人员占75%,其中教授级高工25人,美国纽约科学院院士1人,硕士研究生22人。院区占地面积20万平方米,建筑面积11万平米,中外文图书期刊藏书6万余册。经过40多年的发展,我院研究开发了近千项科研成果,其中大部分技术居国内领先地位,部分已达到或接近国际先进水平。有近200项科研、设计成果或国家及省部级以上奖励,共申请国家发明专利73项,授权38项,其中两项获法国专利权。2000年获国家人事部和国家知识产权局联合授予的“全国专利系统先进集体”荣誉称号。其中,“TS系列冷却水处理药剂及应用”获国家科技进步一等奖,申请专利8项,获法国专利2项;“乙烯氧化制环乙烷银催化剂载体”获中国石化总公司科技进步一等奖,国家科技进步二等奖,并在国内外获7项专利。

To conduct, promote and advance the learning of, and scholarship in, Chemistry, and to provide a conducive and stimulating environment for interactions amongst student and academic staff in this discipline;
To advance research in Chemistry such that the Department holds a position of strength and reputation amongst the international scientific community in significant areas of the discipline;
To promote the learning and application of Chemistry amongst students and practitioners of other sciences within and without the university; to encourage interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research and teaching with Chemistry as a major component; and
To promote the collaboration between the Department and industry in research and manpower training; to extend such collaboration with reputable universities worldwide.
