Hemocompatibility and ultrafiltration performance of surface-functionalized polyethersulfone membrane by blending comb-like amphiphilic block copolymer
While polyethersulfone (PES) represents outstanding oxidative, thermal and hydrolytic stability as well as good mechanical and film-forming properties, the hemocompatibility of PES membrane must be dramatically enhanced to reduce injections of anticoagulants during hemodialysis.

A hierarchical porous carbon membrane from polyacrylonitrile/polyvinylpyrrolidone blending membranes: Preparation, characterization and electrochemical capacitive performance
Novel hierarchical porous carbon membranes were fabricated through a simple carbonization procedure of well-defined blending polymer membrane precursors containing the source of carbon polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and an additive of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), which was prepared using phase inversion method. The as-fabricated materials were further used as the active electrode materials for su...

210. Enhanced visible-light photocatalytic performance of electrospun carbon-doped TiO2/halloysite nanotube hybrid nanofibers.
In this work, the effects of halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) on the visible-light photocatalytic ability of electrospun carbon doped TiO2/HNT (CATH) nanofibers have been explored. Structural and morphological investigations demonstrate that incorporation of HNTs into anatase CATH hybrid nanofibers was easily achieved by using sol–gel processing combined with electrospinning approach, thus HNTs could ...

Fabrication of highly dispersed ZnO nanoparticles embedded in graphene nanosheets for high performance supercapacitors
We report a facile strategy to synthesize ZnO-graphene nanocomposites as an advanced electrode material for high-performance supercapacitors. The ZnO-graphene nanocomposites have been fabricated via a facile, low-temperature in situ wet chemistry process. During this process, high dispersed ZnO nanoparticles are embedded in graphene nanosheets, leading to sandwich-structured ZnO-graphene nanocom...

197. Flexible polyaniline-coated TiO2/SiO2 nanofiber membranes with enhanced visible-light photocatalytic degradation performance.
A simple and practical strategy has been developed for preparing polyaniline (PANi) coated TiO2/SiO2 nanofiber membranes by a combination of electrospinning, calcination and in situ polymerization. TiO2/SiO2 (TS) nanofibers are fabricated by electrospinning, followed by calcination. Then they are used as template for in situ polymerization of aniline monomers. SEM images show that PANi nanoparticl...
