A unique water collection ability is revealed on green bristlegrass bristle. It is attributed to the barb array similar to ratchet structure that is arranged on cone groove surface of bristle, thus the multi-level geometric gradients are formed to dominate the coalescence and transportation of tiny water condensed droplets directionally.
