A series of fluorinated acrylate copolymers were synthesized by using monomers of methyl methacrylate, butyl acrylate, acrylic acid and fluorinated (meth)acrylate as raw materials and by varying the length of fluorocarbon chain, content and addition mode of fluorinated monomer, etc. Surface hydro-oleophobic properties and chemical composition of copolymer coatings were characterized by contact angle test, infrared spectroscopy and multifunctional photoelectron spectroscopy. The result proved that the surface hydro-oleophobic properties of coatings are closely related to chemical composition. Increasing content of fluorinated monomer, using fluorinated monomer with long fluorocarbon chain and adding once for all fluorinated monomers at late stage of reaction are all helpful to increase surface hydro-oleophobic of the coatings. When the mass fraction of perfluoroctylethyl methacrylate is 25%, the mass fraction of fluorine in the coating is up to 44.284%, thewater contact angle and hexadecane contact angle reach 127° and 65°, respectively.
