Microstructure of cyanoacrylate/rubber system formed by reaction induced phase separation
The cyanoacrylate adhesive is weak against heat shock because of the polymer‘s hardness. The addition of a small amount of rubber to cyanoacrylate improved that weakness, and allowed it to exhibit good adhesion properties.
