2015年，在两位老师的指导和带领下，在课题组全体成员的共同努力下，本课题组在《Chemical Review》上发表综述文章《Breath Figure: A Nature-Inspired Preparation Method for Ordered Porous Films 》。本课题组自2007年成立以来，一直致力于多孔结构的制备和聚合物的功能化的研究工作，先后发表并被SCI收录的有关呼吸图(breath figure) 的研究论文多达20篇。

2013年6月21日，《科学》杂志刊登了湖南大学师曾光明教授Letter文章《新烟碱类杀虫剂的风险》。该文章指出，长期以来新烟碱类杀虫剂的负面影响被社会所轻视，今后在研发应用新型低毒杀虫剂或低毒农药时应避免再犯类似错误。此外，作者总结了国内外新烟碱类杀虫剂对传粉昆虫、鸟类生殖系统和老鼠呼吸系统等方面的影响，指出社会低估了这种杀虫剂的危害。
