Prof. Xin (Terry) Chen got his Ph.D. degree from Fudan University in 1996, and then joined the Department of Macromolecular Science in the same year till now. He went to Brookhaven National Laboratory, USA in 1999 as a Visiting Scientist, and worked as a research staff in the University of Oxford, UK from 2000-2001. His main research field is natural polymer based materials. He have published more than 220 peer-reviewed articles in different journals, including J. Am. Chem. Soc. and Adv. Mater. He was awarded the Honor of “New Century Excellent Talent in University” from the Ministry of Education of China in 2006 and “Excellent Young University Teacher of Shanghai” in 2009. He also won the First Class Award of Science and Technology from the Ministry of Education of China in 2004 and Shanghai Municipal Government is 2011.
