邱东，生于1977年，四川中江人。

1999年，北京师范大学，本科；

2002年，中国科学院化学研究所，硕士；

2005年，英国University of Bristol，PhD。

2005-2006年，University of Bristol Research Assistant (with Professor Terence Cosgrove in  collaboration with Unilever)；

2006-2008年，英国University of Kent Research Associate  (with Professor Robert Newport in collaboration with UCL  Warwick and Imperial College)。

之后在瑞士University of Geneva任讲师，于2009年5月全职任中科院化学研究所研究员，博士生导师。
