Professor Quan''s research focuses on important fundamental problems and the applied transfer/transformation of scientific and technological achievements, including:Chemical Engineering and Technology for Oil & Gas Wells.Theory, Methodology, Technology, Research, and Application of Wellbore Working Fluids.Development of Novel Chemical Materials for Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering."Turning Waste into Treasure" and "Resource Recycling" of Hazardous Solid Waste (HSW) from Petroleum & Natural Gas Exploration/Development and Coal Chemical Industries.Coupling Mechanisms between the above processes and Clean Energy solutions.Research Highlights:

Professor Quan has achieved a series of innovative results in wellbore working fluids, resource recycling/utilization of coal chemical hazardous solid waste ("turning waste into treasure"), and their coupling mechanisms with clean energy. His research consistently integrates fundamental science with addressing major practical needs. This approach has enabled breakthroughs in key practical technologies and facilitated the transfer and transformation of several technological achievements into real-world applications.
