Wang Lei, born in 1993, Associate Professor, Master’s Supervisor. Obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Materials and Engineering and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Northwestern Polytechnical University (2012–2022) under the supervision of Prof. Junwei Gu. Selected for the "World’s Top 2% Scientists" (Single-Year Impact) list (2023, 2024), Shaanxi Provincial Young Science and Technology Nova Star, and Shaanxi Provincial Colleges & Universities Outstanding Young Talent. Member of the Chinese Society for Composite Materials and Chinese Chemical Society. Mainly engaged in the design and preparation of multifunctional polymer composites (electromagnetic shielding, wave absorption, thermal conduction, thermal insulation, flame retardancy, etc.). Presided over 13 research projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China Young Scientists Fund, Shaanxi Provincial Innovation Capability Support Program, and Shaanxi Association for Science and Technology Young Talent Support Program. Awarded the 7th Hanzhong Youth Science and Technology Award and the 2025 "China Carbon Industry Inspiration Fund" Outstanding Young Faculty Award. Published 19 SCI papers as first/corresponding author in journals including Adv. Funct. Mater., Nano-Micro Lett., and J. Mater. Sci. Technol.; The paper in Compos. Part B-Eng. (2019, 171: 111) was selected as one of China’s "100 Most Influential International Academic Papers" (2019); The paper in J. Mater. Sci. Technol. (2020, 52: 119) was selected for "F5000 – Top Articles of Outstanding Chinese S&T Journals" (2020). Serves as Executive Editor-in-Chief of Engineered Science, Youth Editorial Board Member of Nano-Micro Letters and Research, and reviewer for SCI Q1 journals including Nano-Micro Lett., Nano Res., Compos. Part B-Eng., and J. Mater. Sci. Technol.. Attended 17 domestic/international conferences with 10 presentations. Holds 5 authorized Chinese national invention patents.
