Prof. Dr. Pengbo Wan is a Full Professor of Materials Science and Engineering. He is supported by the "Hundred Talent Program (BUCT)" (Supervisor: Prof. Xi Zhang and Prof. Liqun Zhang). He was a Postdoc. Researcher of Harvard University in Prof. David A. Weitz group.

He received his B.S. degree (2006) at Wuhan University and his Ph.D. degree (Supervisor: Prof. Xi Zhang) at Tsinghua University (2011). After working as a Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) with Prof. Xiaodong Chen, he joined Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) in 2013.

His research interests include organic–inorganic hybrid nanomaterials, transparent conducting films, hydrogels, flexible electronic sensors, wearable electronics, and supramolecular assembly. So far, he has published peer-reviewed research articles on Adv. Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., Small, Chem. Commun., Langmuir, and so on. Related research results have been highlighted on MaterialsViews Websites, selected as a frontispiece paper, and selected as VIP paper and Front Cover.
