Qiuyu Zhang is a “Cheung Kong Scholars” professor, fellow of Chinese Chemical Society, committee of Shaanxi Chemical Society, committee of Chinese material Society-session of material and engineering, committee of Shaanxi Environmental Society, committee of Chinese Particle Society, etc. She is an editorial committee member of the journal of “Polymer Materials and engineering”, “Chemical Engineering” and “Adhesion”. She has won a lot of awards, such as Female pace setter of China, the award for New Century Excellent Talents from the Ministry of Education, the award of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province for three times, the award of Science and Technology for Youth of Shaanxi Province, the Huo Yingdong Teaching Award for young teachers from the Ministry of Education.

She leads a polymer hybrid and assembly research group, and her research interest includes porous polymer material, macro- or nano- organic/inorganic hybrid materials, biomimetic smart and functional polymer materials and so on. She has developed porous organic materials for efficient separation, organic/inorganic hybrid materials with electrical/ magnetic responses, self-healing polymer composites. Her group has published more than 200 papers in journals, like J. Mater. Chem. A, Appl. Catal. B, ACS AMI, Macromolecules, etc.
