The current main research directions of the "hydrogen-electric energy research team" led by Professor Zhao Xuebo include: 

1) Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) synthesis and thier functions research; 

2) Hydrogen energy research, including water electrolysis for hydrogen production, hydrogen fuel cells, hydrogen storage, hydrogen separation and purification; 

3) Research on electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries, sodium ion batteries and supercapacitors; 

4) Basic theories of gas-solid adsorption kinetics and thermodynamics of porous materials;
