High-density polyethylene (HDPE)/ ethylene vinyl-acetate copolymer (EVA)/magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)2) composites were cross-linked by high-energy electron beam irradiation in the presence of triallylisocyanurate (TAIC). The effects of high-energy electron beam irradiation on the properties of the HDPE/EVA/Mg(OH)2 composites were investigated by the Advanced Rheology Expansion System (ARES©), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements. The plateau region of G’-ω in the
rheological test showed another way to indicate that there was a three-dimensional cross-linking network structure in the composites after irradiation. Furthermore, the cross-linking network increased the melting point, the heat of the melting and Tg of the composites.
