Liquidcrystallinerod-coilblockcopolymerscontainbothmicrophaseseparationofblockcopolymers(BCPs)intoorderedstructuresonthescalesof~5-100nmandliquidcrystalline(LCs)structuresonthescaleof~1-10n,whichthuspossessbothstructuralhierarchyandfunctionality.Mostofthereportedworkshowedthatliquidcrystallinitydominatedthephasebehaviorinrod-coilblockcopolymersystemandlayerlikestructureswereeasilyformed.Wedesignedanovelcoreshellrodcoilblockcopolymers.TheLCorderingoftherodswasdecreasedandthesubtlecompetitionbetweenliquidcrystallinityandBCPmicrophaseseparationwasrevealed. |
