Gradientcopolymersaredefinedascopolymersoftwoormoremonomerswhosecompositionprofilevariesalongthechainreflectingvariationinmonomerconcentrationsasconversionproceeds.TheycanbeconvenientlysynthesizedbyspontaneouspolymerizationusingATRPmethodandthereareseveralreportsofthismethodtosynthesizegradientcopolymerssuccessfully.However,asfarasweknow,thereisalmostnoresearchaboutcharacterizationofgradientcopolymers.
