Inthepaper,thephoto-degradationefficiencyoftheformaldehydegasandthemechanismsofthereactionintheweakultraviolet(UV)lightwerestudiedimnovationallybuloadednano-titaniumdioxide(TiO2)totheactivatedcarbonfiber(ACF).AsuiteofthedispersingagentandthedispersingmethodforTiO2inthewatersolutionwastestedregardingTiO2asmaterial.WeevaluatedthephotodegradationefficiencyoftheformaldehydegasforTiO2/ACFintheweakultravioletlight.TheexperimentresultsshowthatTiO2/ACFhaveexcellentdecontaminatedeffectloadedtheTiO2totheACFbysoakingandrolling,andbringthephotocatalyticdegradationofTiO2andtheabsorptionperformanceofACFintofullplay,andimprovetherateofphotocatalyticdegradation.ThetestsalsoshowthatthedecontaminationratioofTiO2/ACFdeclineratherishbyusingrepeatedly.TheeffectsofparameterssuchastheconcentrationofTiO2solution,theratioofTiO2toACF,dryingtemperature,andthetimeonthephotocatalyticdegradationoftheformaldehydegaswerealsoinvestigated.Thisstudyhasnotonlyofgreatimportancetodevelopingthenano-photocalysismaterialsfordecoratingroomandairpurification,butalsobringalongthedevelopmentofthehealthprotectionmaterialsoftheenvironmentdepollution.
