ElectromagneticparametersinXbandofcompositescomprisingepoxyandoneofthe2typesoforganicconductivefibersor3typesofpolyacrylonitrile-basedcarbomfiberswereinvestigatedinthispaper.Volumefractionofdifferentfibersinthesecompositeswas3.5%.Electromagneticparametersofthefiberswerecomparativelyinvestigatedonthebasisofthefunctionalrelationshipoftheequivalentelectromagneticparametersofthecompositewiththeelectromagneticparametersofthecomponentsinthecomposite,thevolumefractionsofthecomponentsinthecompositeandwiththeworkingfrequency.Theresultsindicatedthatallthefibersweinvestigatedweredielectriclossymaterials,andthemagneticlossbythesefibersinXbandwasnegligible.Dielectriclosstangentsoforganicconductivefiberswerenothighenoughforanti-radarcamouflageapplicationowingtothelimitedamountofconductiveagentsinthefiber.Dielectriclosstangentsofcarbonfiberswerehigherthanthoseoforganicconductivefibersandwererelatedtothecarbonizationtemperature.Toohighandtoolawcarbonizationtemperatureswerebothunfavorablefortheincreaseofdielectriclosscapabilityofcarbonfibers.
