Severalmodifiedpoly(ethyleneterephthalate)wereprepared.ThecrystallizationbehaviorofthemwasstudiedbyDSCandPOM.Itwasfoundthatsmallextentofbranchingmayenhancethecrystallization,whilehighdegreeofbranchingcouldblockthedevelopmentofcrystallization.Theincorporationofpoly(teremethyleneoxide)(PTMO)topoly(ethyleneterephthalate)chainswithincertainamountfacilitatesthenucleatingandspeedcrystallization,butdecreasedthemeltingpointofpolymers.TheCNTsintroducedbyinsitepolymerizationcoulddispersewellinthepolyester-ether(PEE)matrix,anditinfluencedthecrystallizationtemperaturefromthemeltofPEE.ThespherulitiesdevelopedinbranchedPETsshowedgreaterandmoreperfectthanthatinPET,whereasthesizeofspherulitiesinPET/PTMOgotsmallerwiththeincreaseofPTMO.
