ThespectrophotometrictitrationshavebeenperformedinaqueoussolutionswithdifferentpHvaluesatdifferenttemperaturestogivethestabilityconstants(1nKa)forinclusioncomplexationofvariousdihydroxybenzenes(resorcinol,hydroquinone,pyrocatechol)withcellulosefibregrafted&szlig；-cyclodextrin.Thestoichiometryofthesupramolecularcomplexesformedis1:1&szlig；-cyclodextrininclusioncomplexationwithvariousdihydroxybenzenes.Themolecularrecognitionmechanismfor&szlig；-cyclodextrinincludingvariousdihydroxybenzenesisdiscussedfromtheviewpointofstabilityconstants,apparentthermodynamicparameters,thesize/shape-fitandpHvalueofinclusionsystemsofdihydroxybenzenesbetweenthehostcavityandtheguestmolecules.Theresultsobtainedindicatethatcellulosefibregrafted&szlig；-cyclodextrinpossessesthespecialbindingabilityandmolecularselectivityfordihydroxybenzenes.
