Biodegradableidealrandomcopolymerpoly(butyleneadipate-co-terephthalate)(PBAT),with44mol%butylenesterephthalate(BT),wasmelt-spunintofiberswithtake-upvelocityof5km/min.ThecrystalstructurewascharacterizedbyWAXD,SAXSandDSC.PBATfiberhaswell-developedPBT-likecrystalstructuredespiteofitsidealrandomnessandcompositionratio(about1:1)；ontheotherhand,itsmeltingtemperature(ca.121℃)isover100℃lowerthanthatofPBT.Basedonthequantitativeanalysesonthelatticespacing,thecrystallinityandthefractionofcrystallizableBTsequencesinPBAT,thecrystalstructureofPBATfiberwasclarifiedtobeformedbymixed-crystallizationofBTandBAunits,whereBAunitswereincorporatedintoBTlattice.Thismixed-crystalstructurewasfoundtoundergoPBT-likereversiblecrystalfromtransitionupontheapplicationandtheremovalofstress.However,duetotheelasticpropertyofPBATfibers,itscrystalformtransitionoccurredinahigherstrainregioncomparedwiththeαtoβtransitionofPBTfibers.
