Inthisstudy,theinfluenceoftwoimportantparameters,thewidthofthewaistofsealandtheinterferencesbetweentheshaftandtheseal,onstaticsealingperformanceofthesealwereanalysedbytheuseoffiniteelementmodel(FEM)ofatypeoflipseal.Andanelastohydrodynamicmodelwasusedtosimulatetheflowofsealingmediuminthesealinggap.Thedifference(ΔL)betweenreversesegmentandclockwiserotatingsegmentandrotationalfrequencyoftheshaftinfluencingonthereversepumpingwerecalculated.TheresultshowsthatΔLandrotationalfrequencyoftheshafthaveagreatinfluenceondynamicsealingperformanceoflipseals.
