Implicitcontrol-volumemethodbasedonquadrilateralandtriangularmixedmeshwasproposedforinjectionmoldingsimulationwithHele-Shawapproximation.Sincecontrol-volumemethodwillgenerateasymmetricmatrixforquadrilateralmesh,theasymmetricpartsofmatrixweremovedtotheright-handsideofequationstotransformtheequationsintothesymmetricequations,andthenpre-conditionedconjugategradient(PCG)methodwasapplied.Tosolvethepressures,theright-handsideswereupdatedonlywhenthesolvedregionhadchanged.Thetimestepsofinjectionmoldingsimulationwereadjustedinordertofillaboutoneelement-sizelayerwithintwotimesteps；thegap-directionwasdiscretizedbytheChebyshevcollocationmethod.Toreducethecomputingefforts,theflowfrontwascheckedforeachtenPCGiterationstodeterminethefilleddomain.Thecomparisonwiththewell-documentedresultsshowedthatthecontrol-volumemethodbasedonthemixedmeshwasaccurateandeffectiveforinjectionmoldingsimulation.
