P-V-T(Pressure-Volume-Temperature)relationshipsofpolymers，whichareusedbysoftwaresuchasMoldfloworC-Moldtopredictshrinkageorwarpagebehaviorinplasticcomponentsandappliedtosetprocessingconditionstoachieveoptimumresults,becomeincreasinglyimportantintheirvalueinmaterialscience.Inthisstudy,mostofP-V-Ttestingtechniquesaredescribed,includingconventionaltechniques,improvedexperimentaltechniquesathighcoolingrates,techniquesbasedonIMMundernormalprocessingconditionsandsomeothertechniquesutilizingultrasonictechnique.AndanewP-V-Ton-linetestingapparatuswasdevelopedinordertomeasurespecificvolumeatprocessingconditions.ThefeasibilityofthisnewtestingmethodisthatitcanbeusedtogetP-V-Tdataofpolymersinmolddirectlybyaspecialtestingmoldbasedonaninjectionmoldingmachineundernormalprocessingconditions.
