Poly(vinylalcohol)(PVA)isaninterestingwater-solublesyntheticpolymerwithabroadrangeofapplications.Duetosolubilityandfilmbiodegradability,PVAfilmsareincreasingusedaspackagingmaterials.ButPVAisapolymerwithalotofhydroxylgroups,thehydroxylgroupscanformhydrogenbond,whichmakesthemeltingtemperatureofPVAhigherthanitsdecomposingtemperature,soPVAiseasytodegradeduringprocessingathightemperature.InthispaperHaakeplasticorderwasusedfortorquerecordingduringPVAmeltkneadingat190℃.ThereactionsofPVAonheatinginthepresenceofoxygenandtheheatstabilizationofcompositestabilizersofphosphatesandphenolswereinvestigatedbyFTIR、XPSandcolordeferenceinstrument.TheconjugateddoubleboundswereobservedbyFTIR&XPSwiththeeliminationreactionofhydroxylgroupsofpoly(vinylalcohol)at190℃.TheinfluencesofcompositestabilizersofphosphatesandphenolsonthethermalstabilityofPVAwerestudied.Theresultsshowthattheconjugateddoublebondswereeffectivelyinhibited,therisingrateoftoqueofPVAduringplasticizingwasdecreasedandtheincrementofYellowindexwasreducedafteraddingthecompositestabilizers.SignificantlybetterstabilitywasconfirmedforPVAcontainingCompositestabilizers. |
