ThemicrocellarfoamedPPwasmadeviathemethodoftwice-openingmoldinghaduniformly-distributedcellswithdiametersbetween30μmand50μm.ComparedwithPP,thedensityofmicrocellularfoamedPPwasreducedabout15%,thenotchedimpactstrengthincreasedby90%,atacostof20%loweringinthetensilestrength.WithEyringtheoryandSEMphoto,wetrytoanalyzebehavioroffractureofmicrocellarfoamedPP.Theresultindicatesthatthetensilestrengthlessenedistheeffectivecrosssectionareadecreasingandactivationvolumereducing,andtheimpactstrengthimproveddramaticallybecauseofexistenceofmicrocellar. |
