Studiesonwell-defined,monodisperse-conjugatedoligomershaveprovidedextensiveinformationonthepropertiesofconjugatedsystemswhicharerelevanttothedesignanddevelopmentofpolymersforelectroluminescentapplications,e.g.polymerlightemittingdevices(PLEDs).1Inthisregard,polyfluorene(PF)derivativesaretheleadingfamilyofblueemmiterswhoseoptoelectronicpropertiescanbetunedthroughchemicalmodifications.2Systematicstudiesontheeffectsofincorporatingdifferentmonomerunitsintooligo/polyfluorenebackbonesare,therefore,importantforgainingdeeperinsightsintothestructure-propertyrelationshipinblueemmiters.
