Kurarayliquidrubbers(LIR)arelowmolecularweightpolydieneswhichconsistofisoprene,butadieneandstyrene.ThemolecularweightofLIRisdesignedtohaveplasticizingeffectandvulcanizabilitywithsolidrubbers.Thereforewecallourliquidrubbers“Reactiveplasticizer”or“Co-curableplasticizer”.TherearethreetypesinLIRthatishomopolymertype(standardgrade),copolymertypeandmodifiedtype.LIRcanbeusedforwideapplications,rubbergoods(tire,belt),adhesives(solution,hotmelt,latex,UVcure),sealantforautomotiveorconstructionandothers(printingplate,coating).ModifiedtypesofLIRhaveadditionalfunctionbesidesplasticizingeffectandvulcanizability.LIR-403and410,whicharecarboxylatedtypes,canimproveadhesiontometalofrubbersanddispersionoffillerinrubbers.
