Themixingofcarbonblack(CB)inrubbercompositesimprovestheirperformance-relatedproperties[1].DependingonthematerialparametersandmixingtechnologyCBundergoesdifferentdispersionstates,fromlargeagglomeratestosmallaggregates.Inordertoobtainoptimalvulcanizateproperties,CBmustbesufficientlydispersedinthemixture[2].Poormacrodispersionwhichisdeterminedbyagglomerateswithasizelargerthan6μmisresponsibleforthedecreaseinultimatetensilestrength,breakingandtearingenergy,orfatigueresistance.Smallagglomeratesandaggregates(microdispersion)influencetheenduseperformanceofmanyvehiclesystemsresultinginlowerhysteresispropertiesandhigherresistancetotearing,cutgrowthandabrasion
