In recent years, flexible fiber electronics are emerging for their potential applications in
multifunctional e-textile field. Particularly, fiber energy harvesting/storage devices are considered to be promising to meet certain energy requirements. Solar cells are efficient energy harvesting devices for converting solar energy to electrical energy. However, traditional solar cells based on planar and sandwiched structures are restricted by unsustainable electrode materials and cost-consuming processing technologies, especially for silicon-based solar cells and concentrator solar cells. To overcome these issues, fiber solar cells for potable energy harvesting are developed,and conversion efficiencies above 7% have been achieved. |
