简介：

Inthispaper,thetougheningofPPwasgainedthroughdeformationofspheruliteinsimplepressurefield.Aseriesoftestingmethods,includingimpacttest,POMandDSC,wereappliedtocharacterizetherelationshipbetweenspherulitestructuresandmechanicalpropertiesofPP.TheimpacttestresultsshowedthattheimpactresistanceofPPobtainedarapidincreaseafterpressure.POMsuggestedthatthespheruliteofPPhaddeformedintoellipsoidevenbeltandlamellaehadalignedalongtheflowingorientation,whichwerethemainreasonofself-toughening.ThecurveofDSCindicatedthattheinitialmeltpointdecreasedbecauseofthepartialrupturesofcrystal.
