Poly(trimethyleneterephthalate)(PTT)isadesirablefilamentspinningmaterial,whilepoly(ethyleneterephthalate)(PET)presentsanoutstandingperformancesindifferentenvironments.Inthispaper,PET/PTTbicomponentfiberswerepreparedandtheirtensileproperties,elasticrecoveryandsonicorientationunderdryandwetheattreatmentswerestudied.Theresultsrevealedthatthebreakingstrength,elasticrecoveryratioandsonicorientationofthePET/PTTbicomponentfibersdecreased,butthebreakingelongationincreasedafterthedryandwetheattreatments.
