PbSnanomaterialspossessversatilespeciallyopticalandelectronicproperties.AlotofeffortshavebeenmadetopreparePbSnanomaterialswithdifferentmorphology.Inthepaper,PbSnanorodswerepreparedbyusingachemistryreductionmethodfromstartingmaterialsincludingleadnitrate[Pb(NO3)2],tetrahydrofuran(THF),sulfurpowderandpotassiumborohydride(KBH4).Inthetypicalpreparativeprocess,amixtureofPb(NO3)2,THF,sulfurpowder,andKBH4wasstirringmagneticallyunderanhydrouscondition.Inthisway,semiconductorPbSnanorodswereobtained.ThePbSnanorodswerecharacterizedbyusingapowderX-raydiffactometer,atransmissionelectronmicroscope,aUV-Vis-NIRspectrophotometerandafluorescencespectrophotometer,respectively.IntheTEMimages,thediameterandlengthofthePbSnanorodswereabout500nmandupto11μmareobserved.TheUV-Vis-NIRabsorptionpeakofthePbSnanorodsdispersedinacetoneisat1731nm,exhibitinganobviousblueshiftcomparedwiththatofthebulkPbSduetothequantumconfinementeffect.Undergreenlaserlightexcitationat532nm,thePbSnanorodsemitphotoluminescentlightaround1516nm. |
