Poly（arylenesulfidesulfone）(PASS)isasuperengineeringplasticwithhighperformance.InordertoimprovethehydrophilicityofPASS,modificationofPASSbysulfonationwithfumingsulfuricacidassulfonationagentandconcentratedsulfuricacidassolventwascarriedout.Factorsaffectingthesulfonationreactionwerestudied,andsulfonatedPASS(SPASS)withdifferentdegreesofsulfonationwereobtained.FT-IRandNMRconfirmedthepresenceofsulfonicacidgroupsinSPASS.ThermalanalysisoftheSPASSsamplerevealedlowerdecompositiontemperatureswithrespecttothePASS. |
